Earlier
Before the studio and Burlap: Number19 with Leah Coloff, Tony Diodore, and Mark Righter; Lucibel Crater with Coloff and Paul Chuffo; and Book of Sarth, the first gralbum. With Lou Reed and Ulrich Krieger, I made Metal Machine Trio and recorded The Creation of the Universe over two nights at REDCAT. Lou and I later wrote the original Lulu score for Robert Wilson’s Berliner Ensemble production; the Metallica album grew from those recordings. Junior Dad began in Lou’s apartment, with Rob Wasserman’s electric upright running through Kyma. I still use Kyma and the Haken Continuum.
