Lou Reed’s 2011 European tour

An eight-piece band across European festivals in the summer of 2011. I posted twice from the road.

The band

By 2011 Lou was touring with eight people onstage. Alongside him: Rob Wasserman on bass, Kevin Hearn on keys, Aram Bajakian and Tony Diodore on guitars, Tony Smith on drums, Ulrich Krieger on saxophone, and me on Continuum and Kyma, running multiple Pacas. It was a bigger band than the one I joined in 2008.

The dates are on Sightings. Two stops are here because I posted about them from the road.

Have a coupe of photos of the crowd taken from the stage at hop farm. The 8-piece band is functioning as well as I had hoped, each player contributes soething really wonderful and unique. Next stop: London/Hammersmith.
