# Billy Martin

Drummer of Medeski Martin & Wood, and a visual artist. His *Omnisphere* was a gralbum in the making.

[Billy Martin](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Martin_(percussionist)) (born 1963, New York) is a drummer, percussionist, composer and visual artist, one third of Medeski Martin & Wood since 1991. He runs Amulet Records, played with John Lurie’s Lounge Lizards, and has published *Riddim: Clave of African Origin* and *Wandering*; his prints, paintings and drawings have been shown at the Cartagena Biennial and The Drawing Center. In 2026 he completed a Watermill Center residency with *The Start of Wind*, a theater work for a bamboo orchestra he built.

[The Gralbum Collective](/conspiracies/gralbum-collective/) listed *Omnisphere*, his drawings with his music, as a coming title, and a preview was on the iPads at the launch on April 9, 2014. My old WordPress site had a conspirator page for him.
